CARE INFO
Bamboo utensils can be hand-washed with hot water and soap and dried with a soft towel. Leaving it submerged in water or in a dishwasher may shorten its life.
Hemp pouch is machine-washable.
Steel stirrer is dishwasher safe. Do not use in microwave or oven.
YOUR IMPACT
Single-use plastic cutlery is incredibly wasteful in terms of energy consumption - petroleum and fossil fuels being burned to generate the cutlery (which causes pollution), packed and transported to it destination (more fuel and energy), used for only about 20 minutes and then thrown into landfill where it will last for hundreds of years.
Carrying reusable utensils will minimize all this needless waste by avoiding single-use plastic utensils. You can further reduce your footprint by also carrying a reusable food container for restaurant take-outs and leftovers.
TIPS AND INSIGHTS
Bamboo cutlery is 100% compostable. Hemp pouch minus the snap-closure is 100% compostable. Steel stirrer will last a very long time but can be recycled with metal recycling if needed.
Always try to repurpose the pouch before discarding it - use it to store pencils, pens or crayons. Try to mend and fix wear and tear from regular use - it's a great mini-crafts project.
The stirrer can be repurposed as a handy cleaning tool - wrap a lint-free rag and it can be used to clean hard-to-reach places like between keys of a keyboard or video-game controllers and AC vents.
